The Bridge Bazaar
June 2, The Frontier
Reward yourself at our Spring makers market on The Bridge at The Frontier! This event will feature a cadre of local crafters and artisans at a convenient location in the heart of RTP. Whether you’re on the hunt for a birthday gift, wedding shower present, and or just need to indulge in some retail therapy – we’re here for you! The Bridge Bazaar coincides with The Frontier’s weekly Happy Hour, so grab a drink and head to the 3rd floor for some shopping fun! As an added bonus, a portion of the proceeds from all sales will benefit the National Inclusion Project!

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen North Carolina to the Coast is hosting its 20th Triangle Race for the Cure at The Frontier this year! There will be a tailgate zone with food trucks, beer tasting, corn hole and music, in addition to the 5k run/walk. Komen NCTC fights breast cancer by funding programs that support those in the fight to save lives and educating individuals about breast cancer risk factors, the importance of early detection, and the resources that are available to them. Birds, Butterflies, Bees & Blooms

The Research Triangle Foundation is having a pollinator event! Pollinators are extremely important to our environment, but without the right host plants, some are beginning to die out. In partnership with the Wildlife Habitat Council and the US Fish and Wildlife Service, this event will feature the dedication of RTP’s new pollinator demonstration garden with speakers, displays, activities, and more! Event: Do presidential elections impact markets?
June 2, The Frontier
This series of investing topics starting will kickoff with, “The Presidential Election Cycle – a political agnostic view of how the stock market historically has performed in a presidential election year.” Healthy snacks and bottled water will be served. This will be an open and conversational atmosphere at The Frontier in the Aqueduct room.

Medicago will host young women in grades 9 – 12 to meet their amazing team, see their innovative technology, and participate in a fun, hands-on activity. We will learn about Medicago’s development from research lab to state-of-the-art process, tour Medicago’s automated greenhouse to learn how they turn plants into vaccines, and perform an experiment related to this process.

Seminar: Advances in Shaking Technology
June 23, Durham
During the full-day symposium, industry experts will address the following questions in a series of seminars: practicality of various well plate types for screening, pros and cons of different well plate and tube options, selecting fill volume, shaking diameters and speeds for individual vessels, scaling fill volumes, shaking diameters and speeds between vessels, how baffles impact flask results, feeding strategies available for well plates, tubes and flasks. The results are more reproducible screening and easier scale up in stirred bioreactors.
