In October, US2020 RTP embarked upon their annual fall expo. This year’s theme was Arts ‘n STEM, and celebrated the artistic side of science and technology. Around 350 students from across North Carolina converged on The Frontier in Research Triangle Park for a day filled with mentoring activities. From Q&A sessions with speakers, to speed mentoring and hands on demonstrations, the students were able to get a first hand look at how much creativity is involved with STEM careers.
This kind of expo is just one of the many ways US2020 RTP works to ignite the minds of area youth. Through one-on-one mentorship opportunities, and outreach activities across the Triangle, they work to promote STEM careers to underserved populations.
