Free Fitness Classes Return!

All RTP employees are invited to free cardio and yoga classes at The Frontier! Beginning Monday, August 3rd regular classes will take place twice a week for anyone that would like to attend. This first session will go throughout November, and classes will take place at the following times: Monday Cardio: 4:45 – 5:30pm & Wednesday Yoga: 11:30am – 12:30pm (bring your own mat).

NC DataPalooza Finale

See the finale of this regional startup competition that empowers innovators, designers, and developers to catalyze positive economic and community impact through open-data. The three-month competition kicked off with a DataJam in May. Since then, 15 teams have worked on concepts around the Code for America Challenges and received mentorship from local business experts. At the finale, the top 3 teams will pitch for a $5,000 cash prize, a $500 bonus from ESRI, and three months of free workspace.

Innovate NC: A Cross-City Learning Collaborative

The Institute for Emerging Issues at NCSU is partnering with a powerful group of public, private, and nonprofit entities to launch InnovateNC: A Cross-City Learning Collaborative. Participating communities will each be represented by a local Innovation Council. Experts will guide and support the local councils through an intensive two-year collaboration that includes regular cross-city convenings to focus learning and build relationships; detailed local asset mapping and data collection to support decision making; knowledge sharing; policy analysis; and site tours.
